Please join the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD), the National Center on Health, Physical Activity, and Disability (NCHPAD), and Special Olympics for a webinar on May 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A truly inclusive community is one in which health promotion activities are as accessible to people with disabilities as they are to people without disabilities. Physical activity can provide individuals with disabilities the strength and stamina required to participate in all aspects of life actively and successfully – it also benefits all adults, whether or not they have a disability, by reducing their risk of serious chronic diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and some cancers.
This webinar will feature how organizations, dedicated to the well-being of people with disabilities have built upon the message: Physical activity is for everybody and encouraged people with disabilities to be physically active.
